Cambridge Community Arts are pleased to present to you 2 Cambridge Short Courses & 4 Fenland Short Courses starting in Spring 2020:
|Singing & Songwriting
Join singer & song-writer Meg Day for “Well Sound”, a fun and friendly short course in singing, song-writing & sound making for wellbeing, surprise yourself with the songs you might find inside. It will take place from the 20th January – 16th March in Ross Street Community Centre on Mondays 1.30-4.30pm. Over 19s only. (See attached flyer for more details).
Re-awaken your imagination and play make-believe in this introductory drama course led by John Shields. Play drama games, improvise and explore scripts to have fun, develop performance skills and increase your confidence. It will take place from the 21st January – 17th March in the Queen Mary Centre, Wisbech on Tuesdays 1.30-4.30pm. Over 19s only. (See attached flyer for more details).
|Painting – The Language of Paint
Explore creative painting and individual expression on this intuitive painting course suitable for all levels. Artist, Dan Donovan will bring out the artist in you, helping you develop your own unique style and learn the language of painting and drawing. It will take place from the 3rd February – 30th March in the Meadows Community Centre on Mondays 1.30-4.30pm. Over 19s only. (See attached flyer for more details).
In a group, led by Andy Saphir, learn essential skills, such as strumming and fingerpicking. You will learn new chords, develop your musical understanding and play some popular songs. Suitable for absolute beginners. Acoustic guitars provided if necessary. It will take place from the 22nd January – 18th March in March Community Centre on Wednesdays 1-4pm. Over 19s only. Come along and make your mark: experiment with a variety of printmaking techniques printing on paper and fabric. Develop your understanding of design, repeat patterns and materials with tutor, Carole Reich. No experience necessary for this relaxed and inclusive course. It will take place from the 5th February – 1st April in the Oasis Centre, Wisbech, on Wednesdays 1-4pm. Over 19s only. (See attached flyer for more details).
Digital Art at your finger-tips. Using iPads (provided), explore your creativity and local area and develop new digital skills with tutor, Matthew Magnus. It will take place from the 7th February – 3rd April in Octavia Hill’s Birthplace House, Wisbech, on Fridays 10am – 1pm. Over 19s only. (See attached flyer for more details).
