Treat yourself to a cuppa and have a read of CGL’s Reconnect Weekly newsletter. You can also submit your own stories, tips, hobbies etc with the focus for next week being your pets. Details of how to submit articles is on the front page. The idea is to connect people at a time when it is needed.
Below is an introduction from Tracy Thompson – Community Development Manager at CGL Cambridgeshire and the newsletter can be found by clicking the link.
‘This is for the whole recovery Community and is meant both as an information service with links as diverse as Jazz Festivals to Children’s stories and everything in between. It’s a way of finding help for recreation and relaxation as well as mental and physical health links. The newsletter will also be hosted on the Recovery service FB page which I would encourage you to find and like. www.facebook.com/Recoveryservicecambs
We update Facebook every day and currently the most popular link is one of our volunteers making amazing sausage rolls. Well worth a look.
We want to hear from YOU and for you to be involved too. I’d like to know who is good at cooking, knitting, crafting, sewing or anything really and would be willing to film a “how to” for readers. I’d also like your poetry, writing, art or anything you would be willing to share. In the next issue we are introducing Pet Blog so we need a pictures of your pet with a brief biography of Jiffy Max or Harry.
This newsletter is about keeping us connected and opening up the huge resource of talent that we have together and in the community. I am really looking forward to what we can create and to be able to keep it going long after this current situation is over.
Can you please cascade to all your contacts as we want to have as many people as we can to take part.
We will also have our own Recovery Service webpage soon so watch this space.
