Check out this NEW research opportunity available! You will be paid for your time and inconvenience
Project: PROTECT aims to explore how clinical formulation (that is the process/conversation that clinicians and service users go through together to explain service user difficulties) influences how restraint is used within the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Foundation Trust, as well as patient wellness and recovery.
Involvement: We are looking at recruiting six-eight service users who have experience of secondary mental health services and experience with restraint (experiencing or witnessing) to provide advice throughout the research project.
Time commitment: The group will meet about 8-10 times throughout the next three years. We hope the service users we recruit will be able to attend the majority of the meetings and participate in email exchanges if possible.
Suggested dates for the first meeting:
11th October or 13th October 2017, 10.30am-12.30pm. Please indicate which date is best for you and whether you would like the meetings to take place in Cambridge or Peterborough.
Payment: All members of the service user advisory group will receive £10 per hour for attending the meetings. Travel expenses will be paid at 56 p per mile or public transport rates. All claims must be accompanied by relevant receipts. Please note, this income may have implications for those claiming benefits. All income must be declared to the Inland Revenue.
Contact: If you are interested in this work, please send your expression of interest to Aneita Pringle (firstname.lastname@example.org) and/or Iliana Rokkou (email@example.com) with details of relevant experience.
