We are very pleased to share with you our landmark report ‘Muslim Mental Health Matters’.
In June 2021, The Lantern Initiative collaborated alongside Muslim academics to launch a national survey to understand the experiences and attitudes of Muslim communities toward mental health support. The report summarising the survey findings is intended to inform community mental health support provision and to provide a resource for other Muslim-focused mental health organisations, faith-based counselling organisations, mosques/Islamic centres and clinical commissioning groups.
The report identifies some key issues and challenges as well as highlighting hard-hitting statistics in relation to mental health in Muslim communities in the UK. We hope you will find this to be an informative read.
Many thanks for taking the time to read this report, which is a culmination of efforts from various dedicated individuals. We look forward to engaging with and connecting with you in the coming weeks and months.
