It feels like it’s been quite a while since I last wrote here and a lot has been happening. To start, the eating disorder work that Charlotte and I have been doing has been live for about a month now which is proving helpful to those who need it, and this week we are having a celebratory get together with everyone who helped make this project happen to thank them for all of their hardwork.
I’ve also been working on some graphics for our social media in preparation for overdose awareness day, in particular one about naloxone. Naloxone is your lifeline in the event of a heroin, methadone or co-codamol overdose and kits can be picked up at CGL (Change Grow Live) services for free.
We’ve also recently had our annual general meeting where we shared our successes for the year and people who have engaged with us shared their experiences working with us. It was lovely to hear how everyone felt heard and valued and enjoyed having their say and how much of an impact their voice has made.
Outside of work I took a week annual leave and went away to stay in a cabin in the woods to unplug and relax. I ended up doing a lot of walking and spending time in nature which was wonderful for my mental health. How do you like to unplug and relax? Let us know in the comments!
Have a great rest of your week!
