Living Sport, working in partnership with CPSL MIND, are offering a new training programme in April for community workers and volunteers to help others support their own mental health.
Wellbeing Together is an innovative new community training programme, delivered through a partnership with Living Sport and CPSL Mind. The training will be delivered online through a series of webinars and peer support sessions, both daytime and evening training sessions are available.
The programme’s aim is to equip volunteers and community workers with the knowledge and skills to enable them to support others in the community to look after their mental health and know how to access further help when needed.
Bookings can be made here:
- Daytime training starting 20th April 10-12noon https://www.livingsport.co.uk/Event/wellbeing-together-training-living-sport-and-cpsl-mind-20th-april-2021
- Evening training starting 21st April 6-8pm https://www.livingsport.co.uk/Event/wellbeing-together-training-living-sport-and-cpsl-mind-21st-april-2021
The full programme consists of 5 elements with a total duration of 13 hours. Module 1 will be in the form of a FREE 1-hour webinar which can be viewed prior to booking. We hope this will provide an introduction to the training and outline the benefits of attending the full programme.
Delegates signing up to the full training programme will be required to attend all 5 elements of the training. The programme will provide in depth training led by CPSL Mind expert trainers followed up by peer support sessions and opportunities to share experiences. The training will provide delegates with both the knowledge of how to deal with individuals facing mental health challenges and also of how to protect their own mental health and wellbeing. It will provide local links to support services, resources and help to build a local network of people for peer support.
Cost: We are asking for a donation from participants of £10 for community group volunteers and £50 for third sector organisations/ paid staff / community workers – this fee will be paid to Living Sport and ring fenced for further mental health training with CPSL Mind.
As this is a pilot project and we have a limited number of 16 places per cohort, we are limiting the number of delegates to a maximum of two individuals per organisation.
