We are currently recruiting people with lived experience of mental health issues who are interested in working with us to run a series of teaching sessions for non-clinical researchers.
“Conversations with Experts by Experience” is a teaching programme for researchers studying mental illness led by people with lived experience of mental illness and jointly facilitated by an Expert by Experience and a psychiatrist. The aim of the programme is for researchers to understand the symptoms and conditions they study from the service user perspective and for experts by experience to learn more about research.
For further information please read the leaflet attached. It will tell you what being a teacher involves and ways you can get involved.
